Canon 24-105 f 4 L IS USM II review and features offering Canon’s highest quality optical quality L series The most functional product of the lens category. L series lenses that every Canon user would like to have are the ones that Canon uses the highest quality optical elements. Canon 24-105mm The f4 model is the Swedish army knife of the L series. Although its image stabilization, ultrasonic focusing motor, focus range from 24mm to 105mm and constant f4 aperture at any angle increase the price of this lens, I can say that it is a quality lens that you can use in almost any type of photography. Let’s take a closer look at this wonderful lens if you want.
USM – UltraSonic Motor
Canon has an ultrasonic focus motor on the 24-105 that allows you to focus quickly and quietly. While this focusing technology allows you to silently autofocus on the video, it maximizes your camera’s focus performance when used with cameras like the 5d Mark IV, 6D Mark II.
IS – Image Stabilization
This lens, which you can use with Canon’s full-frame and APS-C sensor machines, also has “IS” image stabilization technology. Thanks to IS technology, this technology, which helps you to get sharper photos by absorbing the vibrations of your hand as much as possible during the shooting with low shutter speeds, allows you to take your shots without using a tripod. Moreover, when you use this lens with Canon’s digital or optical image stabilization technology, it is possible to get 2 times better vibration performance.
We used Canon’s newest full-frame camera 6D Mark II to fully test this lens. When the performance of the lens and camera combined, we achieved great results in both portrait and landscape shooting. Especially when we shot at -5 degrees, neither the camera nor the lens once let us down.
As you know, the lens has a focus range of 24mm to 105mm. This focus range gives us the focal length from portrait to landscape that can be used in many types of photography. In addition, the camera, which offers a very satisfying depth of field for portrait shots after 60mm, allows us to obtain quality bokeh due to its 10-blade diaphragm leaf.
